Refresh the tab. Catch the change.

RefreshWatch reloads any Chrome tab on a timer and tells you the moment the page changes: a new price, a word like “In stock”, an open appointment slot.

No account. Nothing leaves your device. For Chrome 120 and later.

The RefreshWatch popup: refreshing every 10 seconds, 6 seconds to the next refresh, 2 refreshes so far.
The real popup, mid-countdown.

Tell it what to watch

Plain auto refresh needs nothing more than an interval. Add a watch and RefreshWatch compares the page after every reload, then alerts you with a notification and a sound.

The whole page

Any change to the visible text. Turn on “ignore changing numbers” so clocks and counters don't set it off.

One element

Point at a price, a seat map or a status line. Only that part counts, so the rest of the page can change freely.

A keyword

Alert when a word appears, like “In stock”, or when one disappears, like “No appointments available”.

Picking the price on a shop page: the element is outlined on the page, and the popup shows it is watching #price every 5 seconds.
Picking an element to watch. The demo shop is fictional.

Free — features other extensions charge for

Each feature below sits behind a paid plan in at least one popular auto refresh or page monitor extension. In RefreshWatch it is simply part of the extension, with no paid tier, no trial and no account. Some paid extras elsewhere, such as macros, webhooks, email or SMS alerts and cloud checks, RefreshWatch doesn't offer at all.

Nothing leaves your device

RefreshWatch reads and compares pages on your computer. It has no server to send anything to, so it doesn't.

Read the privacy policy

  • No accountInstall it and start. There is nothing to sign up for.
  • No analytics, ads or trackingThe extension makes no network requests of its own.
  • Site access one site at a timePlain auto refresh needs no site access. When you turn on watching for a site, Chrome asks you about that one site.
  • Stored locallyRules, settings and the change log stay in Chrome on this computer, and go away when you remove the extension.

Three steps from open tab to alert

  1. Choose an interval

Click the RefreshWatch icon on the tab. Pick 5 s up to 15 min, a custom time, or a random range.

  2. Choose what to watch

The whole page, one element you point at, or a keyword. Or nothing at all, for plain auto refresh.

  3. Get the alert

When the change lands you get a notification and a sound, and refreshing stops. Save it as a rule to have it start by itself next time.

The popup after a keyword match: stopped because the page changed, with the keyword In stock, next to the shop page now showing In stock.
A keyword alert: “In stock” appeared on the third refresh and RefreshWatch stopped.
